Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach out if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The NIL ecosystem has developed faster than the systems used to administer agreements. Many arrangements rely on informal processes, personal assurances, or inconsistent documentation.

NIL Assure™ provides independent administrative structure for NIL agreements – helping participants manage obligations clearly, consistently, and neutrally over time

NIL Assure™ is designed for:

  • Student-athletes and their families
  • Agents and advisors
  • Sponsors, donors, and collectives
  • Schools and athletic programs

Any NIL or sponsorship agreement that spans time, includes ongoing obligations, or involves multiple stakeholders can benefit from structured administration.

NIL Assure™ is particularly well-suited for:

  • Multi-month or multi-year arrangements.
  • Agreements with ongoing obligations.
  • Higher-value or  higher-visibility deals.
  • Arrangements involving multiple stakeholders.

No.

NIL Assure™ is not a party to NIL agreements. It does not negotiate terms, make decisions, or determine outcomes. Our role is limited to administrative documentation and process support.

No.

All financial arrangements remain under the control of the parties and their financial institutions. NIL Assure™ does not access accounts, initiate transfers, or direct payments.

No.

NIL Assure™ does not guarantee outcomes or assume financial responsibility. NIL Assurance™ provides structure, documentation, and transparency, which helps reduce uncertainty and misunderstandings – but it does not replace the underlying obligations of the parties.

Tiered assurance options allow participants to align the level of administrative rigor with the complexity and duration of an agreement.

These options may include additional documentation or confirmation steps at the outset of an arrangement. They are designed to increase confidence and reduce ambiguity – not to alter deal terms or responsibilities.

Details are discussed directly with participants.

No.

NIL Assure™ is not a substitute for legal, tax, or financial advice. It complements professional advisors by providing a neutral administrative framework that supports the agreement as written.

In most cases, sponsors, donors, collectives, or schools cover administrative fees. Athletes are generally not responsible for platform fees unless expressly agreed in writing.

If a dispute is identified, NIL Assure™ automatically pauses administrative activity and preserves existing records.

The platform does not adjudicate disputes or determine rights. It simply maintains a clear, time-stamped administrative record while the parties resolve the issue independently.

Because NIL relies heavily on trust – and trust benefits from structure.

Independent administration helps move the ecosystem from informal assurances toward consistent, repeatable processes that everyone can rely on.

Student-athletes are often expected to perform before administrative details are fully organized.

Independent administration helps ensure:

  • expectations are documented clearly,
  • commitments are handled consistently, and
  • records exist if questions arise later.

This reduces avoidable stress and uncertainty.

NIL Assure™ helps schools:

  • reduce reputational risk,
  • avoid being pulled into private disputes,
  • support fairness and consistency across NIL activity,
  • maintain appropriate distance from financial arrangements.

Schools remain outside payment decisions and negotiations.

Clear administration:

  • reduces misunderstandings,
  • signals seriousness and preparedness,
  • helps manage longer-term obligations, and
  • provides a neutral framework that protects all parties.

Structure builds credibility.

NIL Assure™ does not automatically report information unless required by law or explicitly authorized by the parties.

Any reporting or disclosure obligations remain the responsibility of the parties in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.

You can begin by discussing with us whether you desire more structure and trust in your NIL and sponsorship arrangements.
